The Chapel of Our Lady of Strašín stands on the village square in Lažánky. It dates from 1884. Also on the village square, the Lažánky memorial to those who fell in the First World War commemorates the year 1928.
Location and History
The rural homestead No. 5 lies in the centre of Lažánky on the southern side of the village square. The former smithy in house No. 23 was converted into a new restaurant in 1988 and currently serves only as the clubhouse of the Turisté Lažánky association. The town's earlier history also includes Matěj Halaburda: in 1738, the local farmer led a peasant uprising in the Lnářsko area.
