Kladruby: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The romantically redesigned remains of the former water castle of Kladruby are integrated into a park.
Park and Historic Buildings
The castle park of Kladruby is a landscape park with romantic elements and ponds. The building of the former manor house is considered Kladruby Castle; with its turrets and clock, it dates from the first half of the 19th century.
Chapel and View
The pilgrimage Chapel of the Holy Trinity is located in the upper part of Kladruby. It was built in 1710 and is a late Baroque building; inside, there is an altar dedicated to the Holy Trinity. There is also a 19th-century niche chapel near the chapel.
From the Chapel of the Holy Trinity, there is a view over Horažďovice and the plain as far as Strakonice, as well as of the wooded mountains of the Bohemian Forest. An unusual feature in the park is a dragon-shaped section of the park boundary wall, which bears the shape of Indioska.
The Chapel of the Holy Trinity is accessible by arrangement with the municipal office. Kladruby is located on the Strakonice–Zvotoky bus route, and the area around Kladruby offers opportunities for walking excursions.
