Kuřimany lies below Kuřimanský vrch, which is 586 metres high. The Třešovický potok stream flows through Kuřimany. The forest south and west of Kuřimany offers good opportunities for relaxation.

Cycle Route 1070 runs through the cadastral area of Kuřimany. There are local hiking trails in the vicinity of Kuřimany.

History and Village Character

The first written mention of Kuřimany dates from 1327. The village square is home to the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk, featuring a Baroque gable; it was built at the beginning of the 19th century. There is a cross at the crossroads in the direction of Paračov and Milejovice. A wayside shrine and a spring are located near this cross. There are also wayside crosses along the roads towards Třešovice and Paračov. Two burial mounds were discovered near Kuřimany.

Buses operate on Class III roads; Kuřimany has a bus stop with connections to Strakonice.
