The Volyňka forms the southern and western boundary of the municipality of Mutěnice. At the edge of Mutěnice, the Volyňka and the Smiradický stream meet.
Nature and Waterways
The local U MUTĚNIC biocentre comprises a naturally landscaped bed of the Volyňka, a wide strip of riparian vegetation and an adjoining meadow on the outskirts of Mutěnice. The local biocorridor LBK No. 514 “VOLYŇKA U MUTĚNIC” is 2 km long.
Cycling and Hiking Trails
Cycle Route 1068 (Strakonice–Vacov) runs through the municipality of Mutěnice. Within the municipality, it follows a Class III road. A walking route runs along the Volyňka to Strakonice.
Culture and History
The chapel in Mutěnice dates from the second half of the 19th century and was reconstructed in 2004–2005. It is decorated with a tiled Stations of the Cross.
A memorial plaque to the gardener and fruit grower Professor František Suchý is located on House No. 1. The large Mutěnický Mill was converted into a fez factory.
