Bělčice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The oldest architectural monument in Bělčice is the complex comprising the Church of St Peter and Paul and the rectory.

Culture

The nave of St Peter and Paul features a distinctive diamond-shaped rib vault. Next to the church in Bělčice stands a freestanding 39-metre-high bell tower.

The birthplace of Ladislav Stehlík is designated as the Památník Ladislava Stehlíka and can be visited by prior arrangement. The Památník Ladislava Stehlíka is managed by the Muzeum středního Pootaví in Strakonice with the support of the Bělčice municipal office.

In the street behind the square, the Vlasák family glassworks produces replicas of historical glassware. Its products bear the “Regionální produkt Prácheňsko” quality mark.

Landscape and Trails

Bělčice lies in the Blatenská pahorkatina hilly region. The Velký Bělčický pond covers just under 46 hectares and is suitable for swimming. Sport fishing is possible there after obtaining a permit.

The Naučná stezka Bělčickem educational trail starts at J.-Kučera Square in Bělčice. The trail is approximately 9.5 km long and can be completed on foot or by bicycle. The Blatná–Březnice railway line also runs through Bělčice.
