Nebřehovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Nebřehovice combines local history, a rural villagescape and marked trails to create a diverse picture of the village.

Culture and villagescape

On the village square in Nebřehovice stands an 18th-century brick chapel of the Baroque type. Its square ground plan is complemented by a pyramidal roof with a lantern. Also on the village square in the centre of the village is the bell tower, which is considered a valuable urban-planning element.

The history of the bell tower also reaches back to a turbulent period: it once housed a 56-kilogram bell that was confiscated by the Germans in 1942. Older written records go back even further. In 1253, Petr of Nebřehovice is documented as a retainer of Bavor of Strakonice; towards the end of the 14th century, Zdeněk of Nebřehovice is mentioned.

The historical heritage also includes the medieval water castle of Nebřehovice. It lost its function at the beginning of the 16th century and gradually disappeared structurally in the 17th and 18th centuries. In the centre of the village, on the road to Strakonice, there is also the rural homestead No. 3.

Rural surroundings

A distinctive feature of the villagescape lies by the village pond: freedom lindens were planted on its dam in 1920. The trees are therefore clearly connected to a specific date in the history of the village and to its rural character.

Trails

Road I/22 runs through the northern part of the Nebřehovice planning area. It connects Domažlice, Klatovy, Horažďovice, Strakonice and Vodňany. Road III/1428 runs through Nebřehovice, is connected to road I/22 and further joins road III/1427 in the direction of Strakonice.

There is a tourist hiking trail in the municipality of Nebřehovice. A yellow-marked hiking trail with a length of 2.7 kilometres is also recorded in Nebřehovice.
