The pilgrimage site of Dobrá Voda is located two and a half kilometres from Milejovice. The grounds of Dobrá Voda offer views of the South Bohemian landscape.
Pilgrimage
Construction of the church in Dobrá Voda began in 1889 and was completed on 29 May 1891. It is dedicated to the Queen of Heaven, the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. A mass is held annually in the church of Dobrá Voda during the Dobrovodská pouť pilgrimage. Every year on 8 May, or on 7 May if 8 May falls on a Sunday, a pilgrimage on foot leads from Strakonice to Dobrá Voda; the route is approximately 16 km long. During the pilgrimage on foot to Dobrá Voda, a stop at the chapel in Milejovice is scheduled for 12:00, with a prayer for the community.
Culture
The Stations of the Cross near Dobrá Voda date back to 1891 and consist of fourteen chapels. Below the Baroque chapel with its healing-water spring, there is another, smaller chapel near Dobrá Voda. This smaller chapel near Dobrá Voda has Stations of the Cross with painted images and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Water can be drunk from the local spring in Dobrá Voda at your own risk.
History
The local chapel stands next to the playground in Milejovice. A monument to the victims of the First World War stands by the chapel in Milejovice. Outside Milejovice, in the direction of Přechovice, there is a replica of a two-barred cross. The original two-barred cross is kept in a museum in Strakonice.
