Angern: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bujanov combines vibrant traditions with a distinctive chapter in European transport history. Since 1997, the Koláčové slavnosti have taken place here every year, in mid-July. Kolaches were an important part of the hospitality; this is also reflected in the name “Koláčové slavnosti”.

Culture and History

The Horse Railway Museum in Bujanov features a model of the transfer station that was located there. The museum provides information about the history, implementation and period of use of the horse railway. It is housed in a former railway keeper’s house next to the station, which is located 30 metres from the museum.

A transfer station of the horse railway was built in Bujanov in 1826 and remained in operation until 1870. The former station building has been preserved as a relic of this horse railway. The horse railway project was the first of its kind on the European continent.
