A precise historical highlight in Rosenthal – Rožmitál na Šumavě is home to the ensemble comprising the “Chapel of Our Lady of Help” and the individual Stations of the Cross. It was declared a cultural monument on November 6, 2025.
Culture and history
The “Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary” is listed in the central register of cultural and historical monuments in Rožmitál na Šumavě. It was already a parish church in 1259 and is now called the “Church of Saint Simon and Saint Jude”. The current building was constructed in 1909 in the pseudo-Gothic style.
The “Chapel of Our Lady of Help” is located 420 meters northeast of the “Church of Saint Simon and Saint Jude” in Rožmitál na Šumavě. The pilgrimage chapel is a Baroque, centrally designed, plastered building with a dome above a spring.

The museum’s “Telegraph, Telephone and Radio” exhibition includes TESLA radios, measuring instruments, and around 120 TESLA telephones.
Vepřové hody is a social gathering featuring the tasting of slaughterhouse products.
