Řípec: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Řípec lies predominantly on an east-facing slope. The highest part of the hill is called Strážka and is situated 455 m above sea level.

Culture

The Klobasná Forest is still home to the remains of prehistoric burial mounds. In the village itself stands the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, built between 1881 and 1885. Visitors can look inside the church; its grounds also feature wooden sculptures of Saint Hubert and Saint Florian.

At the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk in Řípec, there is a wooden sculpture from the workshop of a local woodcarver. The chapel on the outskirts of Řípec has been reconstructed.

Nature and trails

The Lužnice Natural Monument protected area also extends into the cadastral territory of Řípec. Route X of KČT Tábor, which is 41 km long, passes through Řípec and the Klobásná Forest and ends at Veselí nad Lužnicí railway station. A cycling trip from Řípec passes an old oak avenue.

Řípec–Dráchov railway station is accessible without barriers at all platforms.

The Řípecká pouť, a traditional event held every year in mid-August, is part of the local tradition. The programme includes a competition for the best potato salad.
