Dolní Hrachovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture and History

The history of Hrachovice dates back to the Middle Ages: the village, originally called Rachovice, was first mentioned in 1376. A reference from 1448 mentions Bohuňka of Hrachovice. In the 16th century, Hrachovice was home to a manor where the Vladiks Sudlicové of Hrachovice were based. No monument remains of the former seat of the estate in Dolní Hrachovice.

Several smaller structures complement these historical points of interest. Between Mostek and Větrov, a chapel stands directly on a spring. Dolní Hrachovice is also home to a small chapel with a bell tower and a metal cross in front of it.

The Horní Mill is also part of the historic heritage. It was built around the 1780s by Antonín Josef z Kleinů, the hereditary lord of the estates in Dolní Hrachovice. The Horní Mill does not have a functioning water engine.

A marked hiking trail runs through Mostek, a district of Dolní Hrachovice. Public transport in the municipality of Dolní Hrachovice consists of bus connections to the districts of Dolní Hrachovice and Mostek.
