Příšov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Příšov is characterised by two clearly recognisable features: the Příšovská homolka nature monument protects a Tertiary volcano that became extinct in the Diluvium. At the same time, Příšov has partially preserved its historic settlement layout with original agricultural farmsteads.

Nature

Culture and Villagescape

The historic centre of Příšov, with its village chapel, is considered important from a heritage perspective and deserves increased attention as well as comprehensive protection. The village chapel has a simple bell structure at the apex of a pyramid-shaped roof.

A four-sided stone pillar with a severely damaged, smaller-than-life-size statue of Saint John of Nepomuk dates from the late 18th century. It stands beneath a horse chestnut tree on road II/180 towards Ledce.

Many of the larger and smaller agricultural farmsteads in Příšov contain building fabric dating predominantly from 1850 to 1930. Many of these vernacular buildings retain picturesque, ornamented stucco façades, which mainly correspond to pseudo-historicist styles, particularly Neo-Renaissance.

Getting There

Příšov can be reached via road II/180 from road I/20 between Plzeň and Karlovy Vary.

Events

The lighting of the Christmas tree in Příšov took place on 7 December 2024 and 6 December 2025. On Saturday, 21 February 2026, a traditional carnival procession took place through Příšov. On 30 April 2026, the Příšov Volunteer Fire Brigade organised a traditional maypole-raising ceremony in Olšiny.

Berdovna Mountain is located in the surroundings of Příšov. The Church of Plzen Barholomaeus is also located in the surrounding area. The Stráž hill [Chotíkov] is located in the nearby surroundings. Špitál Hill [Horní Bříza] is located in the surroundings of Příšov.

In the wider regional surroundings are Radyně Mountain, Novy Dvur Monastery and the Church of Svatý Martin.
