Nadryby: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Nadryby is documented in records dating back to 8 June 1216. The village centre is designated as an archaeological site.

History and architectural heritage

Nadryby is home to a rural farmstead. The Chapel of St Anthony is a two-part structure consisting of a rectangular chapel and a bell tower with a triangular ground plan and outward-curving sides. The bell tower is attributed to Jan Blažej Santini.

Ferry

The Přívoz Nadryby ferry transports people and goods. It operates seasonally in July and August.

Landscape and bodies of water

The area around Nadryby is home to Berdovna Mountain and, in the immediate vicinity, Chlum Hill [Břasy-Kříše] and (Březí) Hill [Smědčice]. Further afield in the wider region around Nadryby lies Radyně Mountain.

Hradiště Kozel is an extensive spur fortification, or hill-spur site, with well-preserved ramparts. It is located on a triangular promontory between the Berounka and a left-bank tributary. The fortified area covers 5.5 hectares.

Surroundings

The area around Nadryby is home to the Church of St Martin and Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral. Further afield in the region are the ruins of Týřov and the ruins of Zřícenina Valdek.
