Kaznějov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kaznějov can be explored via several educational trails and through the landscape surrounding the kaolin mining area. The Kaznějov Educational Trail is 14 kilometres long and has eight stations at significant locations, most of which lie within the city's cadastral area. There is also a shortened, 7-kilometre version; it omits the turn-off to the viewpoint above the open-cast kaolin mine.

Educational Trails and Local History

One station of the Kaznějov Educational Trail provides information about the valley of the Kaznějovský potok. Another local tourist educational trail, the Kaznějov Local Tourist Educational Circuit, has three information boards. It also includes a covered outdoor seating area next to the Kaznějov railway station building.

The first written mention of Kaznějov is connected with the founding of the Cistercian monastery in Plasy in the mid-12th century.

Forest Basin and Kaolin Landscape

Most of Kaznějov lies in a basin surrounded by forests. In the vicinity of Kaznějov, the Kaolinka Kaznějov is classified as a geotourism attraction and geotope.

The Kaznějov open-cast kaolin mine in the vicinity is not open to the public. A viewpoint on the road between Kaznějov and Mrtník offers a view of the open-cast kaolin mine.

Cycling Routes, Swimming Area and Local Life

Local cycle route 2304 runs through Kaznějov and is connected to the higher-level cycle routes 35 and 352. Kaznějov also has a swimming facility or reservoir called “koupaliště Kaznějov”.

The Kaznějovský Doběh is a traditional amateur run for all age groups. The Kynologický klub Kaznějov traditionally organises a spring hiking march in the surroundings of Kaznějov for the public.

A former inline skating track in Kaznějov ran from the former ice stadium to the outdoor swimming pool on the left bank of the Kaznějovský potok.
