Obora: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the southern edge of Obora’s local square, the Church of the Archangel Michael stands on a slight rise and directly adjoins the rectory complex. The church is a single-nave Baroque building with a square tower and sacristy. A monument next to the church commemorates the victims of the First World War.

Culture

The church’s history includes several significant dates: it was first mentioned in 1250 in the Gothic style, built by Plasy Monastery in 1350, and rebuilt in the Baroque style in 1708.

Getting Around

The 63-kilometre Baroko III cycle route between Koryta and Kaznějov passes through Obora. The village is also part of the Dolní Střela microregion, where tourists can use numerous marked hiking and cycling trails.

Obora u Kaznějova railway stop is located on Line 160 between Plzeň and Žatec, which continues to Most. Access to the station building and the passenger shelter at the stop is barrier-free.

Festivals

At the end of the year, Obora holds a traditional festival. It includes a walk along the boundaries of the municipal property, marked by a ditch.

On 18 October 2025, the 15th traditional DRAKIÁDA took place in a meadow above the chapel in the direction of Dobříč. At the Pouť pilgrimage festival in Obora in 2026, the municipal courtyard will feature fairground rides and other attractions for children and adults.
