Trnová: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Trnová lies in the valley of the Bělský potok stream. The village is home to Roubenka No. 2, considered the oldest surviving building in Trnová. Its core dates from around 1670 and is one of the few surviving examples of typical rural architecture in the Plzeň region.

Culture and history

The protected cultural monument of farmstead No. 2 comprises a residential building, a stable, a shed, a barn and an enclosing wall. The village centre of Trnová is also designated as an area with documented archaeological finds or with a well-founded suspected occurrence of archaeological finds.

Vísky Chateau was built in 1804 by Josef Raab as a simple late Baroque château. A monument to soldiers who fell in the First World War in Trnová commemorates the history of the 20th century. It was unveiled on 28 October 1920 and stands on the village green opposite the municipal office, next to the bus stop.

Landscape and trails

Vísecký Pond, also known as Labutí, Hamr and Trnovský, lies in the valley of the Bělský potok stream. The body of water is located between Bouchalka Forest and the road from Trnová to Horní Bříza.

The Horní Bříza educational trail includes Station 2, “Trnová – Vísecký Pond”. A marked section of approximately 5 km leads from Vísecký Pond via Vísky Chateau to Modrý kříž. The Horní Bříza educational trail is also marked as a 17 km circular route with ten stations in the area around Horní Bříza.
