Čížkov U Blovic: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Čížkov is home to the parish church of St. John the Baptist, which was originally Gothic and was remodeled in the Baroque style from 1727 to 1735. Opposite the church is the rectory dating from 1680. A small-leaved lime tree more than 250 years old grows next to the church. The church is occasionally accessible.
Culture and History
Another historic site is Strašná skála. The site was founded after the middle of the 13th century by the Buzic family on a pebble rock. The ruins are separated from a plateau gently sloping southward by a ditch up to 6 meters deep and up to 15 meters wide.
Known as Strašná (Strážná) skála, the site is a registered immovable cultural monument in the Na hrádcích cadastral area in the direction of Přešín near Čížkov. The unregistered cultural objects in Čížkov also include a timbered cottage on property no. 4 in the village square below the church.

The mountains Nad Moráskem and Štěrbina are located in the surroundings of Čížkov. The hill Vusenice [Čížkov u Blovic] is located in the immediate vicinity. The mountain Praha lies in the wider regional surroundings of Čížkov. The ruins of the “Radomysl Mediumwave Radio Mast” are also located there; the ruins of “Zřícenina Valdek” are likewise situated in the wider regional surroundings.
Tradition
On November 8, 2025, traditional village pig-slaughter festival celebrations took place in Čížkov.
