Drahkov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The valley of the Podhrázský stream, which flows through the municipal area of Drahkov, is a defining landscape feature of the area. Several bodies of water are located in the same landscape; Pozorka Pond is the largest of them and lies in the broad floodplain of the Podhrázský stream.

History

Drahkov was first mentioned in 1379; at that time, Oldřich of Drahkov is named. Drahkov Fortress was built at the end of the 14th or beginning of the 15th century in the part of the municipality known as Na mokřišti. It was first mentioned in 1415, when Albert of Mokří was named after it. In 1581, the fortress was repaired or completely rebuilt.

Landscape

Radyně is a mountain in the wider regional surroundings of Drahkov. Buzrakov (Plánický hřeben), another mountain, is also located there. In the immediate surroundings are the hills of Suš [Chocenice-Kotousov] and Jezevčí skála [Letiny-Bzí].

Culture

A Neoclassical Chapel of Saint Adalbert stands on the outskirts of Drahkov, on the road to Letiny. The chapel contains a nearly life-size folk wooden statue of Saint Adalbert. A venerated stone with an allegedly recognizable imprint of a shod foot still lies in the ground in front of the entrance.

The Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral, a church, is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Drahkov. The municipality of Drahkov and SDH Drahkov organize a traditional New Year's reception and fireworks display.

Cycling Routes and Sports

Cycle Route 2145 leads from Drahkov towards Výsovák Pond near Chocenice, initially along paved roads and then along surfaced farm tracks. Cycle Route 2143 leads via Únětice and Chocenický Újezd to Drahkov. In Drahkov, it connects with Cycle Route 2145. In addition, the multi-purpose sports field in Drahkov can be used for various sports.
