Above Nekvasovy stands the Chapel of Saint Procopius, which commemorates the medieval mining in the area. The tradition of pilgrimages and festive services on the saint’s feast day is still maintained at the chapel today.

Nekvasovy lies in a valley on the Nekvasovský Brook. The Kojčínský Brook is part of the landscape of bodies of water around Nekvasovy. The landscape also includes the wooded Vráž Mountain, where gold-bearing ore was mined in the Middle Ages.

Culture and History

A cross on a worked granite pedestal commemorates the abolition of compulsory labor in 1848. Nekvasovy also has a memorial to local residents who fell in the First and Second World Wars.

Community events are also organized in Nekvasovy, including carnival processions, the erection of the maypole, and the switching on of the Christmas lights on the Christmas tree.

Cycling Route and Railway Connection

The 35 km cycling route No. 2046 runs through Nekvasovy and leads from Mladý Smolivec via Kasejovice, Řesanice, Oselce, Chlumy, Nekvasovy, Milčice, and Pačejov to Horažďovice.

Nekvasovy railway station is integrated into the integrated transport system. It is located on line 191 from Plzeň to Strakonice, continuing towards České Budějovice.
