Týniště: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the southern edge of the cadastral area of Týniště u Horšic, there are viewpoints on Luh Mountain (564 m above sea level). This is where the geographical characterization of Týniště begins at a clearly identified elevation point.

Nature and Landscape

Týniště is surrounded by forests and fields; there is also plenty of greenery in the village. 0.5–1 km south and southwest of the built-up centre, the specially protected plant species “prstnatec májový”, classified as “vulnerable”, grows in meadow vegetation, predominantly on fallow land.

The Zlatý potok flows through the area of Týniště. The watercourse is associated with a Natura 2000 site of Community importance. The undeveloped area of Týniště is accessible to pedestrians via existing hiking trails and via existing cycling routes.

An archaeological site is located in the built-up area of Týniště in the cadastral area of Týniště u Horšic. It covers the period from the Middle Ages to the modern era. Archaeological finds have been documented at this archaeological site, or their occurrence there is reasonably presumed.

Geographical Setting

The built-up area of Týniště extends along road II/230. This runs along the northeastern edge of the planning area from southeast to northwest in the direction of Nepomuk–Přeštice.

The surroundings of Týniště include Buzrakov (Plánický hřeben), a mountain, and Běleč, also a mountain. In the immediate vicinity lies Nevěrná [Horšice-Újezd], a hill. In the wider regional surroundings are Radyně, a mountain, and the Cathedral Church of St Bartholomew in Plzeň.
