An early historical reference to Háje dates back to 1379: Háje was first mentioned as the property of Blahoslav z Řeneč.

History

In the 15th century, Háje was mentioned as an abandoned settlement belonging to the Řenče estate. In 1603, Jáchym Loubský acquired Háje for Lukavice.

Culture

At the turn-off to Osek stands a late Baroque statue of St John of Nepomuk. The wider regional surroundings of Háje also include Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral and the Church of Svatý Martin.

Landscape

Mount Radyně is located in the vicinity of Háje. The nearby area includes Hájsko Hill [Dolní Lukavice-Snopoušovy] and Zlín Hill [Dolní Lukavice-Snopoušovy]. Mount Běleč is located in the wider regional surroundings of Háje.

Knížská skála is located approximately 1.5 km northeast of Řenče and is the destination of the municipality of Řenče’s annual night hike, “Journey to the White Lady of Řenče”.

Experiences

On Saturday, 26 April 2025, an Easter trail in Háje led through ten stations to a hidden treasure. The Easter trail included a shared picnic with grilled sausages and treats brought by mothers.

TJ Řenče has a “Nohejbal Háje” department. A children’s playground in Háje was renovated with support from the European Union.
