Nature and Landscape

The settlement area of Míšov lies in Zone IV of the Brdy Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Brdy). The Míšovské buky Natural Monument protects a remnant of a fir-beech forest in the Brdy; it is home to old beech trees, some of which are up to 250 years old. At present, visitor movement in this natural monument is not restricted. However, because of its small size, the terrain, the lack of marked paths in the area and the absence of paved roads, recreational use is limited to less intensive walks.

Trails and Viewpoints

From Míšov, the “Za rozhledy na Jordán” excursion follows a cycle path to the Padrťské rybníky ponds. Another cycle route from Míšov continues to the Jordán impact area, where former military bunkers are located and a beautiful view of the landscape opens up.

The hike to Třemšín can begin in Míšov. The hike from Míšov to Třemšín passes by the Nad Maráskem rocks; there are two variants, each approximately 20 km long.

Culture and History

The protected group of trees “Lípy v Míšově” consists of two memorial trees in Bělehrad, opposite the former inn No. 22. The two linden trees grow into each other with their branches, form a compact unit, are over twenty metres tall and define the landscape as a distinctive landmark.

The Huť district of Míšov is named after a glassworks that operated there in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The ATOMMUZEUM is located on the southern edge of the Brdy between Borovno and Míšov. The ATOMMUZEUM Javor 51 can be reached from Míšov via a local road.
