Letiny: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The history of St. Procopius Church in Letiny dates back to the 13th century; it was already mentioned as a parish church in 1230. The Society of Saint Procopius organizes concerts as well as other cultural and social events in the church.

Culture and History

The historic spa complex in Letiny comprises a spa house, a colonnade with a corner pavilion, and a park. Associated with this complex are the iron-rich spring of Saint Gunther and the marsh, which was historically used extensively to treat respiratory diseases, rheumatism, and skin diseases.

Educational Trail

The “Čertovo břemeno” educational trail begins and ends in the center of Letiny. The 15-kilometer circular route is equipped with seven information boards; cycling is recommended as the optimal way to get around.

Landscape and Surroundings

In the wider regional surroundings of Letiny are Buzrakov Mountain (Plánický hřeben), Radyně Mountain, and Běleč Mountain. The “Plzen Barholomaeus Cathedral” is also located in this wider regional area. The hill “(Klesinka) [Horšice-Újezd]” is located in the immediate vicinity of Letiny.

Summer and Events

Letiny’s main bathing area is open to the general public during the peak summer season. After the competitions ended, the fishing season began at around 1 p.m. in the area below the pond.
