Částkov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Částkov Fortress was founded above a shallow, marshy valley on the eastern edge of the village of Částkov. Artificial ponds and ditches formed its outer fortifications. The fortress was built and inhabited from around the 14th century onward.

Culture and History

The present-day Částkov Château acquired its distinctive appearance through a Renaissance extension adding three rooms and later Baroque alterations. The interiors contain groin vaults.

The Church of St. Anne in Částkov is protected as an immovable cultural monument under registration number ÚSKP ČR 44334/4-4736. In Maršovy Chody, the protected rural farmstead no. e. č. 1 also includes a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk.

In Pernolec, a locality belonging to the municipality of Částkov, the Church of St. Anne Samotřetí and its Stations of the Cross were built in 1902.

Landscape and Cycling Route

Continuous woodland in the Český les Nature Park lies in the western part of the Maršovy Chody cadastral area. The landscape of the municipality of Částkov is crossed by watercourses and smaller bodies of water.

Cycling Route No. 36 passes through Částkov along the route Všeruby u Domažlic – Hošťka – Částkov – Tachov – Cheb – Skalná – Měděnec.

Notes on the Buildings

St. Anne Samotřetí in Pernolec is usually not open to the public and can only be entered during certain events.

The fortress in Pernolec has been restored; the property includes a water-filled moat and a stone bridge, and it is permanently inhabited.
