Cebiv: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Cebiv’s history is particularly evident in its château: the expansive Baroque château stands on a slight rise amid the village buildings. Behind its Baroque façades, its H-shaped layout conceals masonry from several construction phases, ranging from the Late Gothic period to the final alterations made during the era of socialist Czechoslovakia.

Culture and History

In the château’s east wing, a chapel preserves early Baroque doors and a barrel vault dating from the period of reconstruction after the 1657 fire. Since 2014, Cebivská náves has taken place in the château courtyard as part of the summer Baroque festival. The traditional event includes historical sword fighting and demonstrations of traditional crafts.

The paper mill in Cebiv is also part of the village’s history. It was built of stone in 1821 on the Hadovka stream, including a weir and a millrace.

Cycle Paths

Signposted cycle route 2215 runs through Cebiv along a route between Trpísty and Černošín. The “K vodě dvakrát přes Hadovku” cycle route also passes through the village. Behind Strahov, it offers a view of the valley of the Kozolupský potok and of Cebiv.

Landscape and Location

Cebiv extends on both sides of the valley of the Kozolupský potok. Cebiv railway station is located on line 177 between Plzeň and Bezdružice.
