Oucmanice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Oucmanice stands out for its compact, circular village layout and preserved traditional farmhouses. The village square, paths and landscape combine several different facets of the village.

Culture and History

A stone cross dating from 1876 stands in the village square, with reliefs depicting saints. The Chapel of the Holy Trinity, Nejsvětější Trojice, is also located there: the Neo-Baroque building dates from 1868 and has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958. The chapel stands at the end of a chestnut avenue.

Historical traces can also be found in Hradníky. There, ramparts and an approximately 80-metre-long ditch from a fortification dating from the Late Bronze Age have been preserved; the site was also used in the Early Middle Ages.

Nature and Paths

The Orlice Nature Park, designated in 1996, extends into the Oucmanice area. Cyclists can use cycle route 4049, which connects Ústí nad Orlicí with Oucmanice. The asphalted route is of medium difficulty and suitable for all types of bicycles.

Oucmanice also has a junction of cycle routes with a rest area for cyclists built by the municipality. An information board with a map of the municipal area and marked important points in the village provides additional orientation on site.

Paths also lead through the surrounding area on foot: the route from Oucmanice to Brandýs nad Orlicí via Klopoty is part of an educational trail created by Ekocentrum PALETA. The Choceň–Oucmanice–Brandýs hiking route begins at Choceň railway station and leads via Oucmanice to Brandýs nad Orlicí.

Environmental Education and Family Activities

Ekocentrum PALETA in Oucmanice offers programmes involving practical activities with natural materials and teaching about ecosystems. Ekocentrum PALETA Oucmanice also organises summer camps for families with children.

Events

The 13th edition of Cyrilometodějský den řemesel was announced in Oucmanice for Saturday, 5 July. The programme of Cyrilometodějský den řemesel 2026 at the sports field in Oucmanice included demonstrations of traditional crafts and activities for children.
