The Church of St. Bartholomew in Kunětice is an immovable cultural monument. Built as a High Gothic church in the 14th century, it was restored in the Neo-Gothic style in 1897 after a fire in 1794; the tower was also added during this restoration. Its sacristy preserves an original small Romanesque place of worship, and remnants of 14th-century Gothic wall paintings have survived inside the church. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk stands in a niche in the parish courtyard wall facing the church building.

History

Kunětice lies on the banks of the Elbe. The military bridge over the Elbe was built in 1947 with funds from UNRRA and made the former ferry service obsolete; it is a technical monument.

Things to Do

The cycling network in Kunětice is connected to the Labská cesta 24 long-distance cycle route. From Kunětice, a red-marked hiking trail leads approximately 3 km to the summit of Kunětická hora. In Kunětice village square, you can enjoy homemade ice cream.
