The Boršov Forest borders Dolní Roveň directly to the east. At its southern edge lies the Lodrant Pond, a site of considerable landscape and natural-history value.

The parish church of St Catherine in Horní Roveň is first mentioned in 1349. The present Church of St Catherine in Horní Roveň was built between 1697 and 1699 on the site of an earlier wooden church. In Komárov, the Church of St Peter and St Paul acquired its present appearance in 1877. The school in Dolní Roveň at house numbers 200, 201 and 205 is listed as a cultural monument.
