Vysoke Chvojno: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Vysoké Chvojno Arboretum was created by Alexander Pallavicini between 1886 and 1889 in the English style on an area of 6 hectares. It has an information system and several resting places. The grounds feature 220 labelled species of trees and shrubs.

Nature

The U Parku nature reserve has been protected since 1955. It is a remnant of a mixed deciduous forest with spruce trees on a south-facing marl slope. On the so-called “Prachovská stráň”, the trees are more than 170 years old.

Trails and Animal Enclosures

The Viselce educational trail is 6.5 km long. The entire educational trail is accessible to pedestrians and cyclists all year round and ends at a game enclosure in Vysoké Chvojno. There is also a bison enclosure covering approximately 0.7 hectares in the northern part of Vysoké Chvojno.

History and Culture

The first mention of the Church of St. Gothard in Vysoké Chvojno dates back to the 14th century. The church was rebuilt in 1735.
