Výšovice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

In the center of Výšovice, the château stands as a significant urban feature. At the same time, Výšovice Château is an immovable cultural monument and is listed under registration number 5866 in the Central Register of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic.

Culture

Výšovice Château was remodeled into its present form in 1796. The reconstruction, which began in 1999, also included the renovation of frescoes.

Výšovice is also home to a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk. The complex of the Church of Saint Lawrence was added to the list of Czech cultural monuments in May 1958.

History

The Výšovice parish has been documented since 1345. It ceased to exist around 1630 and was restored in 1760.

Marked cycling route No. 5013 begins in Prostějov and runs through Určice, Výšovice and Skalka.

Event

Véšovské košt is a tasting of slivovitz, fruit brandies and homemade liqueurs in the social rooms of Výšovice Château. Visitors can taste all the competition spirits and homemade liqueurs.

High-quality refreshments are provided for visitors to Véšovské košt, including tripe soup, boiled pork knuckle, smoked ribs, homemade sausage, beer and soft drinks. The first event took place on February 21, 2009; it was subsequently decided to organize the event regularly. The ceremonial evaluation of the tasting was also open to the general public.
