Nature

The Na Dvorských biocentre in the cadastral area of Vrbátky consists of a newly built pond system and increases the water-retention capacity of the area in question.

The Horka, Chlum and Předina hills are located in the vicinity of Vrbátky. The hill (Amerika) [Vrbátky–Dubany na Hané] is also located nearby.

Culture and History

The protected area of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Dubany includes the church, a cemetery enclosed by a surrounding wall with a gate, and a detached wooden bell tower. The sugar factory complex in Vrbátky includes, among other buildings, a beet warehouse, a brewhouse, a refinery and a boiler house with a chimney.

The Chapel of St. Florian in Vrbátky was acquired in 1750. It has a rectangular floor plan, a projecting four-sided entrance tower and a bell. The chapel has been a cultural monument since 3 May 1958. It was reconsecrated on 2 May 1999, when a Mass was celebrated.

The vicinity of Vrbátky also includes the Pomník obětem 1. světové války monument, the Socha sv. Jana Nepomuckého monument, the Kostel sv. Michala church and the Kostel Panny Marie Sněžné church.

Events

The Vrbátecké slavnosti festival traditionally takes place on the last Saturday of the summer holidays. A meeting of historic vehicles is held annually at the Chapel of St. Florian; this event is referred to as the sixth edition.
