History and Architectural Heritage

Hrad u Bílovic is a prehistoric fortified settlement located on a spur of land above the Romže River. A massive rampart and two ditches have been preserved at Hrad u Bílovic.

The first written mention of Bílovice dates from 1305. The history of Lutotín also includes the Lutotín stop, established in 1919 on the railway line from Prostějov towards Konice and onwards to Chornice in the Pardubice Region.

In Lutotín, the Chapel of St. Anne dates from 1822, while the Chapel of the Virgin Mary dates from 1808. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Lutotín once housed a rare wooden statue of the Seven Sorrows of Mary. The Chapel of St. Florian in Bílovice was consecrated in 1782.

The Hanácký žudr in Bílovice is a rare example of rural folk architecture: a masonry Haná farmhouse with outbuildings, a vaulted entrance hall and a granary on the upper floor. It was built in the 18th century and is not open to the public.

Trails

The “Stezky k Bílovskému hradu” project created a marked trail through the area. Along the Stezky k Bílovskému hradu, information boards provide information about the local flora, fauna and geology. Four rest areas were established as part of the project.
