Biskupice Na Hané: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Biskupice Na Hané is characterised by its chapel, archaeological traces in the built-up area and several recurring events. This gives the village a character shaped both by its history and by its present-day community life.

Culture and History

The Chapel of St Margaret is the focal point. It was built in 1767 by Matouš Kolda, a citizen of Vyškov, is a listed monument and belongs to the municipality of Biskupice.

Biskupice is also home to an area containing archaeological finds. It is classified as UAN I, lies within the built-up area and is attributed to the High Middle Ages and the Modern Period.

Cycling

Cycle Route 5042 between Kralice na Hané and Klopotovice passes through Biskupice. It is suitable for recreational cyclists of all ages and for all types of bicycles. The route is 60 km long in total and has around 260 metres of elevation gain.

Landscape

The Blata River forms a clear geographical boundary: it runs along the eastern border of the Biskupice municipal area.

Traditions and Events

At Easter, the tradition of “mrskut” is observed in Biskupice. On the name day of Saint Margaret, 13 July, the traditional festival “Tradiční hody” is celebrated.

In June, a children's day is usually held in Biskupice at the sports ground and in the park. An Advent concert takes place at Christmas. At the end of August, there is usually an event marking the end of the holidays.
