Tištín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Tištín showcases its history at the Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul and at the Obecní besídka; the pond, sports facilities and a former railway line add further concrete facets of the village.

Culture and Local History

The Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul in Tištín was built on the site of an older church between 1710 and 1719. The Church of St. Peter and Paul and the adjoining area are registered as cultural monuments in the Central List of Cultural Monuments of the Czech Republic.

The Obecní besídka also brings together various chapters of the village's history. Its ground floor houses a library, while the first floor contains an exhibition gallery about the history of the municipality. The building was originally constructed as a chapel and later converted into a granary.

Tištín also has a museum of agricultural technology operated by Agrodružstvo Tištín. The Malý háječek area includes a dance floor from the 1950s known as “betonek”. A new stage for bands and performers has also been built there.

Nature and Sports

The Tištín pond has an established biocorridor and biocentre for the movement of animals. At the same time, the Tištín pond is a destination for walks and for young people's sporting activities in summer and winter.

The multi-purpose playing field beneath the cycle path is equipped for futsal, floorball, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis and badminton.

Community Spaces

The Sokolovna can be rented for sporting, social and family events; its facilities include a kitchen, a bar and an outdoor terrace.

A restaurant is located in the former distillery building, where bowling can be booked by telephone.

Paths and Transport

The Morkovice–Nezamyslice cycle path was built on a disused railway line. Tištín has bus services only.
