The history of Kocourovec includes the Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes. It was built in 1867, extensively renovated in the early 1920s, and reconsecrated on 20 July 1924.

Culture and History

There is a stone cross in front of the chapel; its back bears a dedication dated 1871. Kocourovec was built in 1799 on the site of a cleared forest.

Kocourovec lies along the I/35 road between Olomouc and Lipník nad Bečvou. An imperial road was built here at the end of the 18th century. Kocourovec has no railway connection.

The settlement pattern of Kocourovec is characterized by houses standing close together, with their façades facing the road.
