Jezernice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Jezernice combines a history of engineering, sacred sites and floodplain landscapes. The Jezernice Viaducts are a technical monument; they are 10 metres high and have 42 arches. Their present form dates from 1873. St Martin’s Church in Jezernice dates from the 15th century.

Culture and Local History

The Jezernice Municipal Museum presents the exhibition “Co všechno odvál čas”, which documents life in the municipality, particularly during the first half of the 20th century. The exhibition is open irregularly during municipal events or by appointment. It includes a kitchen with a dresser for storing food and dishes, a table with an old paraffin lamp, and a bench that once stood beneath the window.

At house no. 158 stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk bearing the signature J. T. and dating from 1835.

Přední Familie is a particularly bird-rich and interesting floodplain landscape in Jezernice. The adjacent stretch of the Bečva near Přední Familie is a habitat of the critically endangered Kessler’s gudgeon.

The mountain Růžový Kopec is located near Jezernice. The hill Nad Doly [Hranice-Slavíč] is in the immediate vicinity. The mountains Jindřichovský vrch and Kelčský Javorník are located in the wider regional surroundings of Jezernice.

Cycle Path

The second stage of the Jezernice–Slavíč cycle path was intended to continue outside the built-up area of Jezernice along road III/4377 through the open countryside and connect to an existing paved path at the viaduct.
