Lhota: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lhota makes its history visible at specific locations: The first written mention dates from 1275 and is associated with Petr z Kozařiny Lhoty.

History and Culture

In 1447, Lhota belonged to the Helfštýn estate. In 1834, the inhabitants built the Chapel of St. Wenceslas; it was restored in summer 2020. Weddings can be held in the restored chapel. Local tradition also includes the “Historická stříkačka – koňka”, which was brought from Brno to Lhota in 1895 and ceremonially consecrated.

Archaeology and Landscape

A surface survey conducted on 9 June 2013 at the “Za Humny” archaeological site in Lhota uncovered fragments of Linear Pottery culture, a small quantity of chipped stone industry and a very well-preserved perforated axe. The site lies on a gently south-facing slope towards the right bank of the Šišemka stream.

The Šišemka stream flows through Lhota. The extensive Svinec Forest stretches northeast of the village.

Cycling Routes and Transport

The moderately difficult, signposted road route no. 5035, with an asphalt surface, is suitable for all types of bicycles. It leads from Týn nad Bečvou to Ratiboř and passes through Lhota 3.5 km after its start. Cycle route no. 6137 connects Lhota with Soběchleby and Blazice.

A temporary traffic restriction affects the section of road II/437 between Týn nad Bečvou and Lhota: Due to construction work, it is completely closed from 29 June to 15 December 2026.
