Milotice Nad Bečvou: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Milotice nad Bečvou lies on the right bank of the middle course of the Bečva River. Between the Czech Railways line and the Bečva are four lakes with a total area of 27.872 hectares. The Bečva cycling trail from Hustopeče nad Bečvou to Špičky passes through the village. Milotice nad Bečvou is also located on the road from Hranice via Hustopeče nad Bečvou continuing towards Valašské Meziříčí.

Nature

The Hustopeče-Štěrkáč natural monument also includes the cadastral area of Milotice nad Bečvou. It protects the habitat of the beetle Cucujus cinnaberinus. Holiday cottages stand on the shores of Lakes 2 and 3.

History and Villagescape

The first written mention of Milotice nad Bečvou dates from 1131. The triangular layout of the village square with a chapel is considered evidence of the village’s great age.

The Chapel of Saint Anne in Milotice nad Bečvou was built in 1853 at the expense of the municipality and with the support of local residents. Near the local chapel stands a granite monument to the victims of the First and Second World Wars. The monument was unveiled on June 25, 1933, and later supplemented with the names of citizens who fell between 1939 and 1945.

The history of the Struha mill race dates back to the 15th century. The Milotický mlýn mill stands on the artificial mill race called Struha, at house no. 13.

Experiences

The development of sport fishing is possible at Lakes 2 to 5 of the Bečva 5A fishing grounds. Children’s fishing competitions were scheduled to take place at Lake No. 5 in Milotice nad Bečvou from 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

The evening program of the Hody celebrations in Milotice nad Bečvou included a live music event.
