Malhotice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The archaeological site of the Malhotice fortress is classified as UAN I and designated as an important archaeological locality. The Malhotice fortress was first mentioned in 1391 and last mentioned in 1492, and it probably predated the nearby château, which was created by converting it.

Culture and History

At the beginning of the 19th century, Baron Vilém Bojakovský had the Malhotice château converted in the Empire style. The former château was extensively reconstructed in 2008, including work on the façade, windows, and interiors. Malhotice is also home to a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, a Baroque work dating from 1816.

The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in Malhotice is listed as a Secessionist building from the beginning of the 20th century under registration number ÚSKP 50629/9-67.

Nature and Wildlife

The Arasféra in Malhotice showcases various parrot species from many countries. Visitors should register in advance by telephone or email. During a guided tour, visitors can feed tame birds under the supervision of a breeder or enter the aviary themselves.

Cycle Route and Chapel

Cycle route 5252 passes through the avenue by the Panny Marie před Malhoticemi Chapel. In front of the chapel stands an old memorial stone set into the ground. Behind the chapel, there is a covered tourist rest area by the road. Through the grille at the chapel entrance, it is easy to look inside.
