Věžky: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Věžky combines traces of history with local sports and events. The oldest surviving written record of the village dates back to 1349; at the same time, paths, sacred buildings, and the landscape in the Věžky area shape the character of the village.

Sports and Events

The Věžky sports complex hosts the “Zlatá diabolka” shooting competition every year. The complex has tennis courts, volleyball courts, various climbing and play structures, and a sandbox for children. The Hodové slavnosti in Věžky were scheduled for the period from August 14 to 16, 2026.

The combined cycling and walking path from Vlkoš to Věžky is designed for pedestrians and cyclists and was built in 2004.

History and Sacred Sites

The area of the Roman Catholic parish of Vlkoš u Přerova includes the municipalities of Věžky and Vlkoš. The Chapel of the Virgin Mary stands in the center of Věžky. The Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built by the municipality in 1821.

The Boží muka, a wayside shrine on the outskirts of Věžky, were built in 1740. They have an unusual shape and stand in a field beneath three lime trees.

The wider regional surroundings of Věžky include Lešná Castle, Lukov Castle Ruins, the Memorial to the Victims of the First World War, and the Statue of St. John of Nepomuk.

The plains in the Věžky area were shaped over thousands of years by gravel deposits transported by the Bečva, Moštěnka, and Morava rivers. The cadastral area of Věžky covers part of the area between the Přerov–Brno railway line and the Moštěnka stream.
