The Stojan lime tree in Beňov is a memorial tree and was chosen as Tree of the Year 2007.

Culture and local history

The small A. C. Stojan Museum in Beňov was established in 1993 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Antonín Cyril Stojan's death. It contains surviving personal belongings from Stojan's lifetime, the archbishop's school certificates, hymnals, models of his busts and monument, pictures, books, liturgical vestments and other liturgical objects related to him.

The foundation stone for the Church of Saint Francis of Assisi in Beňov was laid on 19 June 1854. The church was consecrated on 4 October 1857.

Events and routes

Every year, the Beňov Equestrian Club organises traditional Hubertus rides in Beňov, Kyselovice, Břest and Staré Vsi. The club also offers training for young riders, agrotourism and movement therapy for people with physical disabilities.

The longer routes of the Přerovská padesátka event pass through Beňov, where the Stojan Museum is located.

At the traditional “Zabíjačkové hody” event on 17 January 2026 at the Sokolovna in Beňov, locals, visitors from elsewhere and tourists were able to sample traditional slaughter specialities.

The Hrad [Kostelec u Holešova] hill is located in the immediate vicinity of Beňov. The Svatá Marie Church and the Holešov Castle Park are also located in the area around Beňov.
