In Tučín, vivid local history meets a variety of trails. One particularly precise detail is the stone statue of Saint Isidore: it stands on a tiered pedestal, and an inscription indicates that it was erected in 1749.

Culture and local history

The life-size figure of Saint Isidore wears contemporary clothing, has his hands folded in prayer, and is accompanied by an angel holding the saint’s hat.

The House of Traditions and Crafts No. 17 is a living exhibition of rural traditions and crafts, particularly agriculture. It was opened to the public in 2018. Visits are possible during events held there or for groups by prior arrangement.

Views and trails

The Tučín – Římská věž lookout tower is open to visitors on the days and at the times specified by the operator; no more than ten people may enter at once. All motor vehicles are prohibited from using the road to the lookout tower. Parking spaces are available at the outdoor swimming pool in Tučín, and a smaller car park for twelve cars is located by the water facility.

Activities

The approximately 39-kilometre-long Záhorská cycle route runs through Tučín. It follows paved surfaces and is particularly suitable for trekking bicycles.

The S tučňákem za poznáním circular educational trail runs for approximately 3.5 kilometres through Tučín and its immediate surroundings. It is described as easy, is suitable for families with children, and features numerous play elements. The Větrný mlýn viewpoint is Station 3 of this trail and is freely accessible.

The DiscGolfPark Tučín is a course with different types of holes, including tunnel shots, expansive fairways, and some changes in elevation.

History and events

A mineral spring with a temperature of 21°C, discovered during drilling in 1935, was used in 1940 to build the local outdoor swimming pool in the pit of a former quarry. The Tučínský špekáček music festival held its 20th edition in 2023 and its 21st edition in 2024.
