Zámrsky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Zámrsky lies at the foothills of the Carpathians, towards the Bečva River. The original buildings of Zámrsky form a horseshoe-shaped settlement structure, while the later-developed Komanica district is separated by the Hať stream.

Landscape and Village Character

The natural area includes the Doubek Nature Reserve. It protects a mixed deciduous forest with rare plant species.

History and Chapels

The first written mention of Zámrsky dates from 1131 and refers to the place as Zamricc. The cadastral area of Zámrsky includes the former manor farm of Kamenec; a village of the same name with a knight's seat once stood there.

The Chapel of Our Lady of Hostýn in Zámrsky was built in 1867 and renovated in 1930. The original sheet-metal bell is currently hanging in this chapel. The site for the Chapel of Saint Wenceslas in Zámrsky was blessed by Father František Král on 29 July 2001. Its bells were blessed on 15 September 2002, and construction of the chapel was completed on 27 September 2002.

Remembrance and Sport

The war memorial in Zámrsky was erected in 1916. The granite plaque bears the names of 20 fallen, deceased and missing people. At the Luže sports complex in Zámrsky, a multi-purpose sports field and the associated facilities can be reserved.

Getting Around

The signposted Jantarová stezka long-distance cycle route passes through Zámrsky. The C1 Greenways section, “Castles and Historic Towns,” also passes through the village. The cycle routes listed for Zámrsky also include the “Po stopách větrných mlýnů” route.

The Hranice–Kelč–Dolní Těšice bus route runs through Zámrsky in both directions. Zámrsky can be reached via road 4395 from Hranice, continuing through the village towards Němetice and Kelč.
