Chomoutov U Olomouce: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Chomoutov U Olomouce is located in the landscape of the Litovelské Pomoraví Protected Landscape Area. Chomoutovské jezero is a 121.28-hectare natural monument.

Nature

The “Na křídlech ptáků” educational trail is 8.0 kilometres long, designated for walking, and easy. Its stops cover topics such as floodplain forests, the water regime of the floodplain landscape, birds near human settlements, Chomoutovské jezero, young wetlands, and the underwater world. It also focuses on beavers, the bird paradise, and birdsong.

The ornithological observation point is located near the car park on the road to Březce. It features a board with illustrations of the birds found at the site.

By the Water

Swimming is prohibited throughout Chomoutovské jezero. The use of boats is prohibited outside the regulated operations of the yacht club based there.

Hromová Cycle Path

A 1.7-kilometre section of the Hromová Cycle Path leads to Hromův dub and continues to Chomoutov. The cycle path provides a safe connection for cyclists, pedestrians, and families with prams.

The Hromová Cycle Path has freely accessible compressors for inflating bicycle tyres and USB ports for charging mobile phones. There is also a paved pump track and fitness equipment.

Culture

The Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary on Hrachoviska Street dates from the 19th century. Next to the chapel stands a statue of the Virgin Mary, erected in 1898 by the Coufal family from Chomoutov.
