Drahanovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Drahanovice is home to the Černá věž, the preserved remnant of the fortress in Drahanovice, which was first mentioned in written records in 1351. Since 2002, the Černá věž has been open to tourists and houses a small museum about the history of the municipality and its surrounding area.

Culture and History

The archaeological history of the municipality includes the Švédské šance archaeological site in the cadastral area of Ludéřov, part of the municipality of Drahanovice. It is classified as UAN I and designated as a significant archaeological site. At Švédské šance, there is a quadrilateral fortification in a depression northwest of Ludéřov.

The Church of St. James the Elder in Drahanovice was built in 1742 and contains a medieval core first mentioned in 1349. Its square, two-storey bell tower is a Renaissance building from the 16th century that was altered in the 18th and 20th centuries. The church is protected as a cultural monument under protection number 30155/8-1796. At the Ludéřov–Střížov crossroads, there is also the Pietà group, a Baroque sculptural work from the first half of the 18th century.

Exhibitions and Models

The Ludéřovská sýpka is the preserved part of a fortified manor farm from the 14th century. The historic building houses permanent exhibitions on local history. It is used year-round for exhibitions, concerts, discussions, lectures, weddings, and workshops.

The Střížov garden railway is a model railway layout at a scale of 1:22.5. It is set in a real landscape with flowers, small trees, bridges, rocks, stops, and railway stations.
