Hlásnice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Almost the entire area of Hlásnice is occupied by the Sovinecko Nature Park. Hlásnice lies at the foot of the Nízký Jeseník, and there are numerous paths and trails in Hlásnice for walks in the surrounding countryside.

Nature

The “Dančák” natural pond lies at an elevated location above Hlásnice at an altitude of around 400 metres and offers views of the surrounding landscape, especially to the south across the Morava valley and towards Olomouc. The area around the “Dančák” natural pond is used for short-term daily recreation.

History and Culture

The first written mention of Hlásnice dates from 1371. Memorial plaques bearing the names of the victims of the First and Second World Wars are located on the walls of the Chapel of St George. Masses are regularly held in the Chapel of St George from spring to autumn.

Regular events in Hlásnice include the St George pilgrimage in Hlásnice. The early inhabitants of Hlásnice kept watch above Šternberk and reported approaching strangers. The medieval and modern-era centre of Hlásnice is an area with documented archaeological finds or a well-founded presumed occurrence of archaeological finds.

Getting Around

The “Do hlubin věků” cycle route passes through Hlásnice and follows a circular route via Šternberk, Babice, Mladějovice, Komárov, Řídeč, Mutkov, Chabičov and back to Šternberk. The “Do hlubin věků” cycle route runs along paved roads and unpaved forest tracks.

At the edge of the cadastral area of Hlásnice, a blue-marked hiking route runs in a northwest–southeast direction; it begins at Mladějovice railway station and leads via Řídeč, Vysoká Roudná, Dubová hora and Chabičov, passing Hlásnice via Dolní Žleb to Šternberk.

The Jarní běh Hlásničák spring run is held regularly in Hlásnice. A summer Kubb tournament is also held regularly in Hlásnice.

The Village and Everyday Life

Hlásnice lies mainly along the II/445 Šternberk–Huzová–Rýmařov road, which connects the village with Šternberk. Hlásnice has a children’s playground with play equipment for younger and older children, as well as fitness equipment for teenagers and adults; the surface of the multi-purpose sports court was also renewed in 2018.
