Culture and History
Notable buildings in Tršice include Tršický zámek and the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The parish church is a landmark in the centre of Tršice. The Neo-Baroque church was largely built by local residents themselves within a single year.
Tršický zámek is a two-storey building with three wings enclosing a small courtyard. On its south side, there is a moat crossed by a bridge leading to a late Gothic entrance portal. In 1532, Tršický zámek was extensively rebuilt as a Renaissance château; in the process, the two southern palaces were joined to form a single wing. The Tršice Museum is located in three rooms on the ground floor of Tršický zámek.
Nature and Landscape
Directly in Tršice, below the local stronghold, lies Tršický vodopád, an approximately three-metre-high cascade in the Tršická pahorkatina, the southernmost part of the Nízký Jeseník. Its water comes from the overflow of Zámecký rybník. A path leads from the local stronghold through the former château park to the pond shore, providing access to Tršický vodopád.
The Tršice Reservoir lies in the valley of the Olešnice and covers twelve hectares. Břehonuše [Tršice] is a hill in the immediate vicinity of Tršice, while Růžový Kopec is a mountain in the vicinity of Tršice. The mountains Skalice and Stráž lie in the wider regional surroundings of Tršice.
