The history of the village includes the former fortress of Dubčany, which was first mentioned in 1407. The northern entrance between the buildings arranged in a circle in Dubčany is traditionally called Brána. In particular, the farmsteads in Dubčany still had projecting structural elements known as Žudry until the middle of the 20th century.
