Budětsko: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Budětsko makes its history visible in specific places. The Chapel of St. Anne was built from 1900 to 1902 and consecrated on 14 July 1903. The bell tower in Budětsko houses a historic memorial bell from 1765 weighing 65 kilograms.

Culture

Services are still held four times a year in the Chapel of St. Anne; Marian devotions are also held there in May. The Chapel of St. Anne is accessible during services. The Chapel of the Mother of God in Budětsko was built in 1823 on the main road from Konice to Olomouc.

History

The war memorial in Budětsko commemorating the fallen local residents was built in 1923. A memorial in Slavíkov commemorates the local fallen of the First World War; their names, dates of birth and death, and portraits have been preserved.

The stone crosses also preserve individual stories. Kříž za vsí originally dates from the early 18th century and was initially made of wood; in 1844, it was replaced by a stone cross. Pavlův kříž is a stone cross at the intersection of the road from Konice to Olomouc and the turn-off to Ochoz. It was erected in 1876 in gratitude for the builder’s daughter having remained healthy. Kříž sv. Barborky was erected in 1928 after Štěpán Grulich survived an accident at this spot.

Landscape

Outside the village, in the valley of the Pilávka, there are the remains of a mill and a sawmill, as well as a log forester’s lodge. The log forester’s lodge in the Pilávka valley is decorated with colourful paintings depicting a funeral procession at a forester’s funeral and a hero killing a dragon.
