Březsko: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The history of Březsko dates back to the middle of the 14th century. Historical evidence, a hilly landscape and marked trails characterize the themes through which the locality can be explored.

Culture and history

Březsko is home to a chapel dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius, dating from 1875. Next to the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius stands a marble cross from 1876. The village also has a monument to those who fell in the First World War, with a statue of Saint Wenceslas dating from 1929.

Iron ore was mined around Březsko in the 18th and 19th centuries and subsequently processed in nearby Blansko. The surrounding area is also home to an ensemble of six marble crosses, which was restored in 1900. A church fair celebrating the feast of Saint Martin, with music and a raffle, is held regularly in Březsko.

Landscape and nature

The entire cadastral area of Březsko lies in varied, hilly terrain. Part of the municipality lies in Kladecko Nature Park, which was established in 1990 to protect the character of the landscape and significant aesthetic and biological values.

In the southern part of Březsko, the hilly relief is divided by the valley of the Březský potok stream at the border with Konice near Sedliska.

Trails and educational paths

A red-marked hiking trail leads from Konice via Březsko, Vojtěchov and Javoříko to Litovel. Near Březsko, you must leave the marked Napoleonská Route and go around the village before continuing along the Napoleonská Route.

The Napoleonská Route is suitable for cross-country skiing and hiking. Beyond Březsko, an educational trail runs along the edge of Kladecko Nature Park. In the wider region around Březsko, the Kladecko educational trail is 7.2 km long, rated as moderately difficult and suitable for hiking and mountain biking.
